Sister Cities Partnership
From February 11th to the 18th, seven members of CCA’s Envision Conservatory for the Humanities and the Envision Visual Arts programs, along with five teachers from different subjects, were invited to Panama City, Panamá by the mayor. While in Panamá, these students presented to six different city officials on topics such as a sister school collaboration, continuation of the graphic novel, an inter-city soccer match, and the Foldscope science technology. These presentations were met with great excitement, and we are pleased to say that there are several projects in the making.
Between presentations, our representatives had the chance to experience Panamá and its culture first hand. This included trips to the Bio Museum, the Panamá Canal, the old town, and even a trip to a hummingbird sanctuary in the rainforest, where no less than 20 different species of hummingbirds thrived.
